How a visit actually works

How does pet waste removal work here? You get a starting number, then we write down your access notes. We text on the way. Yard visits run the full grid and walks run a timer. Every job closes with a photo, and yard jobs close with a latch photo too.

The whole process

What actually happens, in the order it happens.

  1. 1

    Get a starting number

Use the quote tool and you see a real starting price from the published card before you send anything. No sales call is needed to find out roughly what this costs.

  2. 2

    Set up access

We write down the gate code or lockbox, whether dogs are in or out, which zones are in bounds, and anything off limits. Walking clients get a meet and greet before the first walk.

  3. 3

    We text on the way

You get a message before we arrive so silence never feels like a no show. Your roster spot is locked the night before, so your weekday window is predictable.

  4. 4

    The work happens

Yard visits run the full grid: front, side, back, run, fence line, deck, patio, and playset. Walks run a timer with a start photo and an end photo. Waste is double bagged either way.

  5. 5

Photo and latch, then we leave

A yard job closes with a photo of the cleaned area and a photo of the latched gate. A walk closes with the end photo and a note. Both are sent before we leave your street.

  6. 6

If something is wrong, we fix it

Tell us and we make it right inside seven days. A short walk gets completed or refunded. A missed zone gets another visit. We do not argue about it in a review box.

How the three services differ on the day

The process above is the same for every visit. These are the parts that change depending on what is on your ticket.

  • Yard visits

The grid is the job. Older waste has broken down and settled into grass, so on a monthly plan or a first clean we are searching rather than surface sweeping, which is exactly why those visits run longer than a weekly stop.

    The full scooping process
  • Walks

The clock is the job. Time starts at the start photograph rather than when we parked, and heat shortens the route rather than the paid minutes. A slower walk covers less ground in the same booked time.

    The full walking process
  • Combo visits

Sequencing is the job. Walk first unless your ticket says otherwise, so the dog is settled before we work around the yard. Neither half gets trimmed because the other one ran long.

Why a first visit is not like the ones after it

A first clean on a yard that has been skipped is a different job from a weekly stop, and pretending otherwise is how companies end up rushing it. Waste that has been down for weeks breaks apart, works into the thatch, and stops being visible from standing height. Finding it is most of the time on site.

So the first visit takes longer, sometimes considerably longer, and on a badly neglected lot we will tell you before we start whether one pass is realistically going to get there or whether it needs two. We would rather have that conversation up front than hand you a yard that still has waste in it and call the job done.

After that first clean the rhythm settles. A maintained yard on a weekly plan is a fast, predictable stop, because there is never more than seven days of material and none of it has had time to disappear into the grass.

Rain, heat, and what happens if we miss

  • Rain

Scooping may move but it does not vanish. If weather forces a reschedule you get a makeup visit within seven days at no charge.

  • Heat

Heat shortens the walk. Inland pavement gets hot enough to injure paws, so we move to the early window, cut distance, and carry water.

  • Loose dogs

If dogs are loose in the yard we do not enter. We call you. This is a safety rule, not a judgement call made at the gate.

  • Keys and codes

Keys are numbered and logged. Codes go on the ticket and never into a group chat or a screenshot.

  • Pause and cancel

One message. No long contract, no cancellation maze. Tell us when to restart and we will flag if a catch up visit is needed.

  • If we miss

We fix it inside seven days. A short walk gets completed or refunded. A missed zone gets another visit. The photo thread settles what happened.

What is included

An inclusions list without exclusions is what generates disputes, so both are here.

Included in every visit

  • Full grid: front, side, back, run, fence line, deck, patio, playset
  • Hidden pile search, not a surface sweep
  • Double bagged waste
  • Haul away or bin drop, whichever your ticket says
  • Photo of the cleaned area every visit
  • Latch photo before we leave
  • On the way text
  • Same weekday window on recurring plans
  • Makeup visit within seven days if weather moves your stop
  • Pause or cancel in one message

Not included

  • Pasture or acreage outside the in bounds map on your ticket
  • Yard deodorizing or sanitizing, which is quoted separately
  • Urine burn lawn repair, which is quoted separately
  • Power washing, which is quoted separately
  • Entry when dogs are loose in the yard, which is a safety abort
  • Landscaping, mowing, or general yard work of any kind

Questions

What if my dogs are outside when you arrive?

If dogs are loose in the yard we do not enter. We call you, and we do not improvise. This is a safety rule for your dog and for our technician, and it is the reason your access notes should say whether dogs are in or out.

How do you handle gate codes and keys?

Keys are numbered and logged. Codes never go in a group chat or a screenshot. Access notes live on the ticket, not in someone's memory, and technicians pass a background check before they are trusted with either.

How do I pause or cancel?

One message. There is no long contract and no cancellation maze. Pause for a vacation and tell us when to restart, and we will let you know if the yard needs a catch up visit before the recurring plan picks back up.

Do I get the same person each time?

That is the preference and we route for it. A familiar face knows your gate, your dog, and your yard, which is most of what makes a visit go smoothly. Where routing forces a change, your access notes travel with the ticket.

How long does the first visit take?

Longer than a weekly visit. A first clean on a yard that has been skipped means finding older piles that have broken down and settled into grass. We will not promise a twelve minute miracle on a neglected half acre.

What if I am not satisfied?

Tell us and we fix it inside seven days rather than arguing in a review box. If a walk ran short it gets completed or refunded. If a zone was missed we come back. The photo thread usually settles what actually happened.

Enjoy the yard. The dog gets the walk.
