How we handle reviews

Looking for Natures Reality Dog Service reviews? We deliberately do not print a star rating here, because a rating belongs on a public profile a stranger can tap and verify rather than as a badge we drew ourselves. We ask after the third visit, never after a miss, and reply within one day.

Our rating

We do not display a star rating on this site, and that is deliberate.

A rating means something when a stranger can tap a public profile and check it. A number typed into a web page by the company it flatters means nothing, and a badge we drew ourselves means less than nothing. Plenty of sites in this industry print a star average with no verifiable graph behind it. We would rather be the company that does not.

When there is a real public rating with real volume behind it, this page will show the number and link straight to it. Until then, here is what we can actually stand behind: we are licensed and insured, every visit closes with a photo and a latched gate, walks are private, and there is no long contract.

When we ask for a review

After the third visit, not the first. A first clean on a neglected yard is the least representative job we will ever do for you, and asking for a review on the back of it would be fishing rather than asking.

We never ask after a miss, an open gate, or a walk that ran short. Those get fixed first. Asking a customer to rate us while something is still wrong is how companies end up with reviews they deserve.

We do not offer a discount, a credit, or an entry into anything in exchange for a review, and we do not filter who gets asked based on how happy they seem.

How we respond

Within one day

Every public review gets a reply within one business day, positive or not.

Fix first, reply second

If something went wrong we fix the yard or the walk inside seven days, then reply with what actually changed.

No arguing in public

A review box is not the place to litigate what happened. The photo thread usually settles it privately.

How to read reviews for this kind of work

Reviews of a recurring service age differently from reviews of a one time job. A restaurant review describes a single evening. A scooping review describes a relationship that either held up over months or quietly stopped holding up, and the review is usually written at the moment it broke. That skews what you will read about any company in this trade, including us.

So the useful signal is not the average. It is whether the negative reviews describe a one off or a pattern, and whether the company answered with a specific fix or with a paragraph about how much they value feedback. A reply naming what changed is worth more than five stars with nothing attached to it.

Two other things are worth checking on any profile you read. Whether the reviews arrive steadily or in a cluster on the same few days, because clusters usually mean a campaign rather than a month of ordinary work. And whether the reviewer describes something only a real customer would know, like the gate, the route day, or what the photo showed.

Questions

Why do you not show a star rating?

Because a rating belongs on a public profile a stranger can tap and verify, not as a badge we drew ourselves. When there is a real Google rating with real volume behind it, we will show the number and link to it.

Enjoy the yard. The dog gets the walk.
