Senior and mobility scooping
Senior friendly pet waste removal is the plan when bending across a lawn has become genuinely unsafe. Visits are paced rather than rushed, access notes are written in plain language, and the photo thread can copy an adult child who arranged the service so the whole family sees the same proof.
About senior and mobility scooping
Paced visits, photos to a family member if listed.
If bending or carrying is the risk, this is the job. The visit is paced, the access notes are written plainly, and the photo thread can copy an adult child who set the service up.
- Paced visits
- Plain language access notes
- Photos can copy a family member
Why this is a real service and not a marketing angle
Bending repeatedly, twisting while carrying something, and walking uneven ground with your attention on the ground rather than your footing are three of the most common ways an older person falls in their own garden.
A fall in the back yard is not a minor event. It is a hip, and a hip at that age is frequently the beginning of a much larger decline. Weighed against that, the cost of having someone else do it weekly is not really a lifestyle expense.
The dog usually is not the problem
Most people who call about this are not struggling with their dog. They are struggling with one specific task, and they are worried that admitting it is the first step toward being told the dog has to go.
It is not. Yard maintenance is one job among many, and it is one of the easiest to hand over. Feeding, company, the routine that gets someone out of a chair in the morning, none of that is affected by somebody else picking up the yard once a week.
What we do differently on these visits
We knock. Somebody appearing at the side gate without warning is genuinely frightening if you were not expecting anyone, and being frightened in your own home is worse than a dirty lawn.
We put back anything we move. We do not rearrange, tidy, or comment on the state of anything that is not our job. Access notes are written in full sentences rather than shorthand, so they can be read aloud over the phone to a family member who is arranging this from another city and wants to know exactly what was agreed.
- A knock, not an unannounced side-gate entry
- Nothing moved is left moved
- No commentary on anything outside the job
- Notes written to be read aloud over the phone
What it costs
Senior and Mobility Scooping
Quoted per property
We quote this per property because coverage area, severity, and access vary too much to publish one honest number.
6 month prepay takes 10 percent off recurring plans, and it stacks once.
Get a quote for thisHow a paced visit is different
The visit itself runs the same grid as any other yard, but everything around it is slower and more explicit. We knock rather than appearing at the side gate unannounced, because a stranger materializing in the back yard is genuinely alarming if you were not expecting anyone today. Gates get left exactly as they were found. Anything moved gets put back. Access notes are written in plain sentences rather than shorthand, so they can be read aloud over the phone to a family member who is arranging this from another city.
- We knock rather than going straight to the side gate
- Access notes written in plain language, not shorthand
- Anything moved is put back where it was
- Photo of the cleaned area every visit Read the full standard: Photo of the cleaned area every visit
What a paced visit changes
The yard work is identical to any other visit. What changes is the interaction around it, and those differences are the whole point of asking for this configuration.
What changes on this ticket
- A knock at the door rather than an unannounced side-gate entry
- Photos copied to a family member you nominate
- Access notes written so they can be read aloud over the phone
- Anything moved during the visit is put back
What does not apply here
- Not a wellness check or a care visit: we clean the yard
- Not a medication, feeding, or in-home assistance service
Questions
Can somebody else set this up on my behalf?
Yes, and it is common. An adult child can arrange and pay for the service while the parent remains the service contact. Both people can be on the photo thread. We hold billing and service contacts as separate fields precisely so this works cleanly.
Will it be the same person each week?
That is the routing preference and we hold it wherever the schedule allows, because a familiar face matters more on this arrangement than on any other. If routing forces a change we say so beforehand rather than sending an unexpected stranger to the side gate.
Keep the dog, lose the bending
If bending or carrying has become the risk, this is exactly the job. Visits are paced, and the photo thread can copy an adult child who arranged the service. Note in your quote request who should receive the photos, and we will set the thread up that way from visit one.
