Why the Walk Comes First
Sequence is not arbitrary, and you can override it.
Walking first is the default for a practical reason. A dog that has just been walked is settled, and a settled dog is not underfoot while someone works a grid across the yard with a rake. It also means the walk happens on a fixed clock rather than with whatever minutes are left after the yard runs long. If you would rather we clear the yard before the dog comes back to it, say so once and it goes on the ticket permanently.

How Long a Combo Visit Takes
Longer than a scoop, and it should be.
A combo stop is the booked walk length plus the yard time, and the yard time on a combo is not shorter than it would be on a scoop only visit. That matters because the most common complaint about combo services elsewhere is a yard that got half done because the walk overran. Our walk clock runs from a start photo to an end photo, so the walk cannot quietly borrow time from the yard, and the yard cannot quietly borrow time from the walk.

What a Combo Does Not Do
The honest limits, before you book it.
A combo is two jobs on one stop. It is not a discount on either one, and it is not a way to get a longer walk for the price of a shorter one. It also does not turn into a pet sitting visit: we do not feed, medicate, or stay with a dog, and a combo stop is not supervision. If the yard has been sitting long enough to need a catch-up clean, that is quoted separately and happens before the recurring combo schedule starts.

Combo Visits in Bad Weather
The two jobs do not fail the same way.
Weather splits a combo, which is worth understanding before it happens. Heat shortens or cancels a walk long before it affects the yard, because pavement temperature is a dog safety question and a wet lawn is only an inconvenience. Rain is the reverse: the walk is usually fine and the yard becomes genuinely harder to clean properly. When one half cannot run safely we do the half that can, tell you which, and the missed half gets a makeup inside the same seven day window a full miss would.

Is Walk and Scoop cheaper than two vendors?
It is usually less than paying a scooping company and a walking app separately, and it removes the part that actually goes wrong: two sets of access notes, two gates, and two chances for nobody to tell you what happened.
Can the same person walk my dog and pick up the poop in my yard?
Yes, that is exactly what Walk and Scoop is. The person who walks your dog also cleans the yard before leaving, so you hand over a key or gate code once. Both jobs are done to the same standard as if you had booked them apart.
How long does a Walk and Scoop visit take?
Add the walk length you booked to the normal yard time. The yard is not rushed because a walk happened first, and the walk is timed by its own two photos. So plan on a longer window than a visit where we only scoop.
Why do you walk the dog before cleaning the yard?
A dog that has just had a walk is calm and stays out from under our feet while we work with a rake. Walking first also protects the walk from being squeezed if the yard takes extra time. Prefer the yard done first? Tell us once and it stays that way.
How often can I book a walk and yard cleanup together?
You can choose once a week, twice a week, or every other week. Weekly is the one most households pick. Twice a week fits homes with several dogs that also need a midweek outing. Every other week suits a lighter yard and a dog that gets other exercise.
What happens to a combined visit when it is too hot or raining?
We do the half that is safe and tell you which half we did. Hot pavement can shorten or cancel the walk while the yard still gets cleaned. Heavy rain can delay the yard while the walk goes ahead. The missed part is made up within seven days.
Will you feed my dog or give medicine during the visit?
No. The visit is a walk and a yard clean, not pet sitting. We do not feed, give medicine, or stay to keep a dog company. Your dog does get fresh water after the walk. For meals and medication, plan on a sitter or a family member.
How much does dog walking and poop scooping together cost?
A weekly plan that covers both starts at one hundred sixty five dollars a month for one dog. Every other week starts at one hundred thirty. More dogs, a bigger lot, or a longer walk can raise that. The quote tool shows your own starting number.
Do I get proof that both the walk and the yard were done?
Yes. Everything lands in one message thread. You see a photo from the beginning of the walk, one from the finish, and a short note about how your dog did. Then you see the cleaned yard and the latched gate, all before we drive away.
